Numerous reviews state that the Ultra New is in the worst neighborhood in Las Vegas. While I've never been there, myself, a quick look at mapquest indicates that it is located a scant few blocks away from Martin Luther King Boulevard. And as Chris Rock once observed, "Ain't it some crazy shit how Martin Luther King stood for non-violence, but if you're on Martin Luther King Boulevard in any city in the United States, you're gonna see some violence!"
